Lara'S Place - Unawatuna

Location: the hotel was near to the buddhist temple. Stopped by Kabala Sunset Cafe to get some coffee and treats, it's quite close to the venue, recommend.

The breakfast offered a variety of options and was great, the standard queen room we stayed in was gorgeous, and the location was amazing for strolling around a beautiful golden-sand beach nearby.

The spacious double room had beautiful views, and the convenient location allowed for quick access to the airport in just a 15-minute drive, with added amenities like an electric kettle and washing machine.

Located along the picturesque Indian ocean, Lara's Place offers a tranquil setting amidst a lush jungle. Sipping on fresh fruit juice or Ceylon tea, guests can enjoy the breathtaking view from their verandas. With its proximity to nearby beach towns and Dalawella beach, the hotel's location is perfect for exploring the area. Only a short tuk tuk ride away, guests can easily reach the beach in less than 5 minutes. the rooms are stylish and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay. the friendly staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent service, helping with transportation and organizing trips. Guests can start their day with a delicious and complimentary breakfast.

There are occasional encounters with barking dogs during the steep hill walk to the hotel.

The staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable, the location is great, the rooms are spacious, and the decor is modern.

Stunning views! The balconies and roof terrace provide an amazing panorama of the surrounding area. The breakfast was a delight, freshly prepared with a perfect backdrop of the ocean. The location was ideal, tucked away in the mountains for a quiet and peaceful escape. it was also conveniently close to the beach and town, just a short ride away.

The uphill location may not be to everyone's liking, especially if you prefer to be near the beach. The walk back in the evening can be a bit challenging, with limited lighting and the presence of barking homeless dogs.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. The attention to detail was fantastic, from the tasteful decor in the rooms to the cozy beds and minibar. I especially loved the terrace with its exceptional view over the surroundings. The staff went above and beyond, providing useful advice and serving an amazing breakfast with typical Sri Lankan food.

All was perfect, nothing to complain about.

We had an excellent stay in this hotel. Best aspects were the amazing views from our balcony and the delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace. Clean and cozy rooms with all the necessary amenities. The staff was always friendly and helpful, assisting us with transportation and recommending restaurants in the area.

Breathtaking views from the penthouse and a peaceful hilltop retreat. the design of the hotel takes full advantage of the stunning views, especially from the massive wrap-around terrace. the location, high on a hill, provided a quiet and serene environment. the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed were great additions to the room.

Although we used insect repellent, a mosquito net would have been a good addition to the room. Despite this small inconvenience, it wouldn't stop us from returning to this amazing hotel with its exceptional views and friendly staff.

Nestled atop a steep hill, this retreat offers breathtaking views of the bay and nearby town. the rooms are modern, comfortable, and were kept neat throughout our stay. the warm and welcoming staff are at your service, ready to offer delicious breakfast and make your stay enjoyable. It's easy to get around with tuk-tuks, and the location adds to the peaceful vibe.

The modern and fresh design creates a cosy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing stay. The hotel's attention to detail is evident in the comfortable balcony, which is big enough for two people to practice yoga without any worry of knocking into anything. The daily breakfast served on the upper floor not only boasts a magnificent view, but also includes a variety of local dishes that are perfectly adjusted for European tastes. Additionally, the option to use the kitchen for preparing smoothies is a thoughtful touch.

Great breakfast and breathtaking views are the best aspects of this place. The breakfast had a variety of Sri Lankan dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The terrace offers stunning views that are perfect for romantic sunsets. The location is also convenient for getting around the city.

The price for what we received was not worth it. Our room had no air conditioning and we were sweating the entire trip, which made it difficult to sleep.
